Welcome to Our 2021 Club to Career Pathway Program Grand Opening!

Thank you to everyone that joined us for the Grand Opening of our Impact Center Club to Career pathway Program! We had an amazing turnout from the community.

Our Grand Opening included self-guided tours, and special guest speakers included Senator Cristina Castro, Representative Anna Moeller, and Suzanne Markin – filling in for Scott Berger from Kane County.

Congratulations to Eric Johnson, Carpentersville Village Manager, for winning our bench raffle. The bench was made by our Impact Center members.

Thank you for joining us for the Grand Opening of our Impact Center Club to Career Pathway Program (ICCCPP). The ICCCPP supports high school members as they explore viable career and educational options while developing their strengths, interests, and competencies through an individualized Career Pathway strategy. The Impact Center features a Café and Culinary Lab, a Create Lab, a Tech Lab, and a Build Lab to integrate hands-on learning projects with soft skills training to prepare our members for success in the 21st-century workforce.

We are pleased to announce our recently awarded public workforce program investments in the Center, including $400K in Illinois Capital Program funding made possible by Senator Cristina Castro and Representative Anna Moeller, and a $250K Youth Employment Services Mentoring and Community Outreach services agreement awarded by the Kane County Office of Community Reinvestment.

The Impact Center is made possible by innovative and collaborative agreements with Illinois School District 300 and the generous support of our local and national partners, sponsors, and donors who have a passion for youth development, including the Foglia Family Foundation, OTTO Engineering, the Seigle Foundation, Revcor, Inc., Dundee Township Park District, Stanley Machining, the LoPresti Family and the Clark Family Foundation. It features program investments and partnerships with Comcast, UPS, Old Navy, Zurich Insurance, Toyota, Panda Express, Tata Consultancy Services, and the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce. Working together as a community, the Center will raise awareness of nearby employment, secondary and post-secondary educational opportunities and prepare youth for the future workforce through mentoring, essential skills development and training, guest speakers, facility tours, pre-apprenticeships, the D300 Career Pathway Program, the Elgin Community College Apprenticeship program, as well as internships and summer jobs programs.

The Impact Center Program Objectives engages positive adult mentors as Life Coaches, to provide Career Awareness and Career Pathway Support, support Academic Growth, developing a Positive Identity and Sense of Purpose, building Determination, developing a Growth Mindset, understanding of Responsibility and Privileges, and key life skills including Financial Management, Healthy Eating, Self-Care, Digital Literacy, Communication and Teamwork
