Tammy Kerr Joins BGCDT as our Chief Operating Officer
We are pleased to announce that Tammy Kerr has joined our Executive Leadership Team as Chief Operating Officer. Tammy brings a very successful background in large scale multi-site management of youth development programs, including leading a team of five district managers serving 60 childcare locations with over 850 employees as Midwest Regional Director and Vice President for Learning Care Group.
She most recently served as the General Manager for Canlan Sports Centers in Lake Barrington and Libertyville, where she earned Top Performer honors for five consecutive years. Tammy’s strengths include Strategic Leadership, Team Management, P & L Oversight, and Customer/Client Acquisition and Retention. Tammy and her family are long-time residents of Barrington, having served as a Board Member on the Fox Point Homeowners Association.
In her new role with BGCDT, Tammy will be managing current operations and future market expansions of our elementary, middle and high school programs and site staff, as well as our Program Specialist, Social Emotional Learning, Finance, Human Resource and Grant Management teams. She will be further developing and improving member outcomes by focusing on improving our school district and community partnerships, as well as effective and rewarding staff development, ensuring consistent program delivery and maintaining a positive team culture.
