Isaiah De La Cruz

Unit Director: Meadowdale Elementary

Short Bio:  I Enlisted in the United States Army reserves at the age of  17. After completing  Army’s Basic Combat Training  & Advanced Individualized Training, I joined the Boys & Girls club movement! I began at CMS and later Transferred to Parkview and now serve as the Unit Director at Meadowdale Elementary.

What is your favorite thing about working with BGCDT?  Making an impact on the young people that come to our clubs.
What is your favorite memory or moment with the Club over the years?  Being able to take some of our children to the Kane County Fair.
How did you get started with BGCDT?:  I wanted to work with children after college. I wasn’t sure where to go so I came in and applied.
If you had to pick one program, activity or event that you enjoy the most at Club, what would it be?:  Triple Play Fitness
What is your guilty pleasure?:  Ice Cream
What is your favorite TV show and favorite movie?:  I don’t have cable 🙁
Who has had the most influence on your work career?:  My Father, Marco De La Cruz. He has inspired me so through his personal dedication for his family and work. His daily teaching to love everyone and treat everyone with respect and dignity. My Father has been my Biggest influence in my career by far because I wouldn’t ever want to let him down.
What is number one on your bucket list?:  To have a destination wedding.
