For the past 7 years the Rotary Club of Carpentersville has distributed coats to the BGCDT through the Operation Warm Coat Drive. On Wednesday November 14th the tradition was continued for the 8th year in a row. Over 2,000 coats have been donated to the children in our community. Once again, this year our elementary sites Perry, Sunny Hill, Meadowdale, Golfview, Lakewood and Parkview will receive new donated coats to our members in need.
Operation Warm started in 1998. Just in 2017 alone they donated 325,000 coats to 1,200 communities. As stated earlier, over 2,000 coats have gone to children in our community who need them. None of this could ever be possible without those who support the BGCDT through donations and local businesses. We are very excited for this opportunity to help our members this winter. Thank you to everyone involved.
