It is that time of year again. It’s time to watch the snow falling at night while sipping hot cocoa and listening to Bing Crosby. It is time to break out the decorations and make plans to bake cookies and other festive treats. At a time when we go out of our way to purchase that little extra something for the ones, we love most. It’s Christmas time. It is also the season of advent. Many people share in this tradition by purchasing an advent calendar for their children. This year K40, a long-time supporter of the BGCDT, donated 1,000 advent calendars to our members. Both our elementary and teens members were excited to receive their calendars.
“It was amazing seeing all of our Teens have such a special gift to open as we approach the holiday season,” said one of our staff members. K40 is an electronics company that builds police radar detectors. Over the years, they have become a strong supporter of the BGCDT. They have donated in many ways and volunteered their time over the years. We at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township are incredibly thankful for all they have done for our Club members. Thank you, K40, for your continued support and have a wonderful holiday season.
