John Cowlin is a practicing attorney in Crystal Lake, Illinois. He was generous enough to take time out of his busy schedule to speak to our Teen Center members about his career and what it takes to be successful. Before becoming a lawyer, John served in the United States Army. After his service he decided to become a lawyer. He liked helping people and felt this was the best career for him to do so.
He spoke about a few of his cases as well as what it took to succeed in law school. After telling his story he took questions from our members. He explained to them how focus ad dedication are very important in any career that you decide to pursue. He ended with telling the kids, “Do the best you can,” as well as telling them to “Do the work to succeed no matter what you do.”
It is very important for our members to be able to hear people like John Cowlin speak about their lives and all the hard work they put in to what they do. It allows our members to be exposed to different career options and inspire them to be the best they can be. Thank you John for coming to our Teen Center and inspiring great futures.
