The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township proudly launched a new donor society – Club 100 – through an underwritten event at the Anvil Club on July 28th, 2016. Guests included Board members, friends and local business owners all in attendance, in addition to representatives from two local school districts housing their programs. Guests were informed of the mission behind Club 100, which is to identify 100 local donors that would pledge $100 per month ($3 per day) to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township. The overall goal is to raise $120,000 annually, which is roughly the cost to run one (1) school-based Club Unit for an entire academic school year.
Barrington 220 Superintendent Dr. Brian Harris explained that the program the Boys & Girls Club of Dundee Township has been running after school at Sunny Hill Elementary is very successful.
“The program is a great benefit not just to the children and the families participating, but to the entire school district,” Dr. Harris shared.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township are 2/3 of the way to the goal and welcome any local business, corporation, or individual to consider pledging their support and becoming a founding member of Club 100. Each donor was presented with a custom Club 100 pin during the reception.
