Our 5th graders, soon to be 6th graders from all the elementary sites were given an incredibly amazing opportunity. 72 students went to Camp Duncan. Each member was split into 4 groups. They engaged in swimming and boating where kids worked as a team on the water. The were able to tower climb which builds confidence and teaches kids how to encourage each other. They were also able to go hiking on trails. Archery was another great session they were able to do which was a good way to expose them to a sport outside of the norm. To conclude their day they played capture the flag, went for a night hike, and finally were able to sit around the campfire to eat s’mores. Thank You Camp Duncan for hosting and a big thanks to LABarrington for sponosring this event for our members. This is a day we know they will never forget.
