The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township is experiencing record growth in our Teen Membership, currently up 40% from last year.  Along with serving more Teens, the Teen Program is busy with giving back to the local community…even random acts of kindness to those in need.

In November, the BGCDT Teen Club members volunteered with NISRA (Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association) students at the Dundee Township Rakow Center.  The NISRA choir students held a practice “recital” for parents and staff, along with BGCDT Teens.  The BGCDT Teens made signs for each participating NISRA choir members and created a special cheering section as well.

The NISRA Spring Recital will take place next Spring, and you can bet that our Teens will be there to cheer them on!

In addition, the BGCDT Teens served local Senior Citizens at the Dundee Township Senior Center for their Thanksgiving Lunch on Nov. 21st.  The Teens volunteered their time, spending the afternoon with the Seniors in conversation, while bringing together two generations for one meal.

We salute our BGCDT Teens for making an impact in our local community!
