Have you heard of Blue Voices? Well if you haven’t they are the choir of the BGCDT. Blue Voices was founded in 2014 by our staff CJ. The group consists of members from the Sunny Hill, Golfview, Meadowdale, Perry, Parkview, Lakewood, CMS and Teen Center sites. They are very talented and sing all different types of music. They perform between 4 to 6 times at the Park District Senior Center per year and also do performances throughout the year for special events. CJ has recently been teaching members percussion and incorporates this into the choir.
There are many benefits to joining choir. It not only helps boost your confidence, but this can help in public speaking situations as well. It also our members the ability to learn self discipline, develop a good work ethic, and decrease stress levels. Kids can also build relationships that will last a lifetime and even go to college on a music scholarship. So if you haven’t heard the Blue Voices perform yet then we highly recommend that you attend their next performance to hear these talented members sing their hearts out.
