BGCDT 21st CLC Grant Application

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township, in collaboration with School District 300, is inviting the public to provide input and feedback for its upcoming proposal to the Illinois State Board of Education to open and operate a Nina Lowery 21st Century Community Learning Center program at Algonquin Lakes Elementary School, Eastview Elementary School, Lake-in-the-Hills Elementary School, and Parkview Elementary School.

The after-school program would be offered at a reduced fee for qualified/selected students who attend the schools. The purpose of the 21st CCLC program is to provide opportunities for communities to establish programs that provide opportunities for academic enrichment, including providing tutorial services to help students meet the challenging state academic standards, as well as offer students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities. Activities include youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, art, music, physical fitness, technology education programs, financial literacy and career and technical programs, as well as family and community supports.
