Art is a vital part of life. It doesn’t matter if you create it or enjoy it through observation; it is still impactful to everyone in some shape or form. One way it impacts us is through culture. Art has a unique way of bringing many people from many different backgrounds together. It not only unifies us, but it teaches us about one another. Our Lakewood site ran a program called Art Voyager. The unit consisted of the member making art from all over the world.
The cultures and art included Aboriginal symbols, Native American, Egyptian Cartouche, and Indian Henna. Members used, paper, clay, paint, and other mixed media to create their different pieces.
