Congratulations to Melanie Hernandez, who has been named our 2023 Youth of the Year! We are thrilled to announce Melanie as our winner and recognize the incredible impact our organization has had on her. We also want to extend our congratulations to all of our outstanding Youth of the Year finalists, as well as our Junior Youth of the Year winners.
We would like to express our gratitude to our judges, Dr. Niki Burkey (District 300 representative) and BGCDT Board Members Cynthia Ross, Kim Scott, and Mark Krueger, for their time and effort in making this year’s selection process a success.
We would also like to acknowledge the generosity of Will McCoy at Leasing Associates of Barrington and Elgin Community College for providing scholarships to our deserving youth. Additionally, we want to give a special shoutout to our amazing Meadowdale dance performers.
