2020 Pandemic Program Support
Great Futures Start Here at Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township, and we invite you to help us keep that promise. We are impacting the lives of our members through these times, both virtually and in-person.
Your support will enable us to do more. Thank You!
“This pandemic has affected my family due to the lack of childcare options. During this pandemic, I have been working a lot of extra shifts in order to help out at the hospital. With that comes trying to find safe childcare for my kids that’s engaging, and the kids want to go to every day, and Boys & Girls Clubs has provided that for us.
Boys & Girls Clubs has helped engage my kids in friendships, outdoor activities, providing meals for them, and being open in all of their protocols.”
“This Club has helped my family tremendously during this time. It is nice to know that my kids are close to me and to my work and it has been helpful to know that my kids are safe.”
“This pandemic has been tough because it is not easy being able to find that balance with life and work. Since schools are not open, there has been little to no help for me when it comes to my children. During the start, there was no help with their homework or helping them stay active because we are stuck inside all the time. It has been an emotional hit.
However, the Boys & Girls Club has helped us by giving my boys this outlet. Helping them with homework & education as well as staying active. They have new friends and have built new relationships. BGC has been keeping them active during this pandemic, and I am appreciative.”
“I am grateful for Club because I have a safe place to go while my mom works. They make sure we are having fun, but also staying safe during this scary time.”
“This pandemic has made me feel sad and anxious because I don’t get to see my friends, and it seems like you just never know who will catch the coronavirus. I am grateful for Club because I have a safe place to go while my mom works. They make sure we are having fun, but also staying safe during this scary time. “
Thank you to the Dick West family for choosing BGCDT to receive gifts in lieu of flowers. The commitment that Dick had for the kids in the Carpentersville area aligns with the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs.
