The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township is looking for responsible, reliable, and enthusiastic program leaders to help us create great futures for our youth!

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township is one of the largest Boys & Girls Clubs organizations in the state of Illinois. In partnership with our local school districts, we serve over 1,000 Club members throughout the year with after-school programming, summer programs, and athletic leagues. We are looking for program leaders who want a team-oriented and rewarding work environment to help children be supported and successful.

Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. In our 25+ year history, BGCDT has become the premier local provider of after-school youth programming, moving from a safe-haven charity to an active change agent to develop great futures for our youth.

Current Part-Time Open Positions

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township is looking for responsible, reliable, and enthusiastic program leaders to help us create great futures for our youth!

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising children’s participation in the District’s After-School Enrichment program, including children’s mask use, social distancing, and personal hygiene.
  • Facilitating Club programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and create a club environment that facilitates growth and achievement in children.
  • Supervising and encouraging youth members to participate in a variety of program areas and activities, and receive instruction and constructive feedback to further develop skills.
  • Providing guidance to members to assist them in making appropriate choices in educational, personal, physical, social, emotional, vocational, and spiritual needs.
  • Effectively communicate standards of our program and maintain program areas that are safe, diligently sanitized, and well maintained within state guidelines.
  • Documenting reporting data, including attendance and program participation, on a daily basis.
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.

 

Hours for Carpentersville Sites are Monday through Friday, either 2 pm-6:30 pm or 3-7 pm. Schedule flexibility and additional hours are available on a case-by-case basis.

Hours for Palatine Sites are Monday-Friday, 2 pm-6:00 pm during the school year, and 7:30 am-5:30 pm Monday- Thursday for summer.

Compensation varies from $15 to $17 per hour, depending on role and experience.

Hours: 2:15 – 6:00 pm or earlier

Starting Pay: $50 per afternoon

      PART-TIME – YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL

      This position works directly with club members in a small group setting,10-15 kids. Staff will be engaged with club members in the following areas; recreation, meals, homework help, life skills, arts & crafts, leadership programs.

      Hours: 15 – 20 per week

      Time: 2:15pm – 6:30pm (Elementary school sites)

      3:15pm – 7:00pm (Teen Sites)

      Job Type: Part-time

      Salary: $12.00 to $15.00 /hour

      Required education:

      • High school or equivalent
      • Must be at least 18
       

      Part-Time Youth Development Professionals’ responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

      • Responsible for following all CDC guidelines and government orders to ensure the safety of our members
      • Building positive relationships with youth
      • Nurturing social and emotional development with youth
      • Implementing character and leadership programs
      • Implementing sports and fitness programs
      • Implementing Arts programs
      • Homework help
      • Lesson planning
      • Clean-up procedures
      • Mentoring
      • Ensuring all youth are safe
      • Ensuring all members are engaging in FUN learning
